i just do everything faster than people who enjoy relaxation

Ha! I may have a new favorite celebrity-of-the-moment:
LOST star EVANGELINE LILLY hates the laid-back island lifestyle of Hawaii, where she films hot TV show LOST - because no one has a notion of urgency. The pretty Canadian admits island life really gets her down, especially when she's in a hurry to get somewhere. She explains, "The notion of 'aloha' is really nice when you're a visitor walking on the sidewalk and everyone's cool and going, 'Yay! Aloha!' "But when you're on the road running late for work and everyone's f**king 'Yay! Aloha!' you want to snap! No one understands that there is a passing lane, no one understands there is a speed limit you can exceed."
I feel this way ALL THE TIME, even IN NEW YORK. I don't care if you're buying coffee, going up the subway steps, or telling your children you love them: HURRY THE FUCK UP.

I'm always in a hurry to get to places too. Anything and everything becomes an obstacle, I'm surprised that I don't leave a trail of dead and dying bodies in my wake.
You know that testosterone fueled soap opera starring Kiefer Sutherland, 24? Well, Jack Bauer is my hero, the guy is so busy rushing around like a headless turkey that he doesn't even have time to take a shit.

Amen to that! Make the mistake of going shopping with a man some time, ladies, and you will rapidly discover that I am not alone when I say that my absolutely favorite color on a woman is quickly. Quickly goes with everything and looks good in any style regardless of your particular body type, which means that as good a color as revealing is, quickly is in fact better.

Oddly enough, my favorite FOOD is also called quickly. Isn't that a funny coincidence? Whenever I am in a restaurant--especially a diner--with someone who orders too slowly and has the audacity to use the first person plural in requesting another minute from a waiter, and she goes on endlessly about how everything looks so appetizing, she just doesn't know what to get, everything looks so delicious, what should I have, for lunch my friend Allison and I had. . .blah blah blah. . .and then the waiter is back and standing there with his thumb up his ass waiting for our order and Godot, I just try to make it easy for her and say, "Quickly, please!"

Right, guys?

Just don't be in a hurry on the road. Ok folks? It's safety first. It's you multi-tasking nut balls with your cell phones, french fries and makeup kits that scare me the most. You're harshing my mellow.

a very New York City idiosyncracy:

walking in the path of bumper to bumper traffic in Time's Square is less hazardous to our lives than being stuck behind slow walking pedestrians when we're in a hurry...
