Ann Coulter sucks. Know what, Annie? If the 9/11 widows made a few bucks, GOOD. It's small recompense for having lost one's spouse, or the father of one's children, when A FUCKING PLANE WAS FLOWN INTO A GODDAMN BUILDING! Jesus Fucking Christ, shut up!
Look at it this way: Did John Walsh, whose son Adam was kidnapped, CAPITALIZE on the tragedy of losing a child? I suppose. But we all need money on which to live, okay? And John Walsh, and America's Most Wanted, and the Amber Alert, all are very good things. I have met Mr. Walsh, and I believe him to be an honest and decent man who has suffered an unimaginable loss which haunts him every single day. Similarly, those 9/11 widows will never be the same.
Don't lecture us about mollycoddling the 9/11 widows, Ann Coulter. Have you lost a spouse who is your partner not only in marriage but in parenting? Have you lost your breadwinner? Forget about all that loss of consortium stuff. There are real economic realities at stake here. Children need to be fed and clothed and housed and educated and. . .
You don't get it, do you? The statute of limitations on something like the Holocaust, or the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII, or segregation in the Jim Crow south, or 9/11, NEVER runs out for its victims. Walk a mile in their shoes, and THEN bitch about exploiting tragedy. Meanwhile, stop picking on these women and stirring up controversy in order to sell more of your morally bankrupt bullshit.
