I had a fun time at West Virginia University. No one in the audience was a philosophy major (I asked), but they did enjoy "The History of Western Philosophy in 90 Seconds."

I did, at one point, look quizzically at the crowd and ask "Isn't the point of college to get out of West Virginia?"

Anonymous back from the other comment.

One could also pose the question, "isn't the point of college to get a degree with which one can get a job and make money," miss philosophy major?

True! But I feel like I did, um ... okay, you know? No regrets there. And I hope West Virginians can take some gentle ribbing ;)

Hey Zombie! The answer is that I used to practice speaking quickly when I competed in policy debate in high school.

you're such a nerd Jen, but I guess it paid off. I was too busy being weird in school, listening to heavy metal and growing my hair long.

You should consider horse racing commentary as a source of income...
