My cousin, who's about ten, sent me an email about her new email address, which contains the word "pupguin." It was followed by a note:

im going to have to agree with you there about the cuteness factor. but i think the pupguin is cuter... just because:
little kids + animals > animals + nature
How delightful that you retain a childlike innocence. Me, when I hear pupguin, can think only of Barnum's Fiji Mermaid, which was the top part of a monkey and the bottom of a fish, sewn together. The suckers that visited his "museum" were amazed. I'm sure he also sold plenty of "gold" watches for $1. Sorry to be so Scroogey. It's a seasonal condition that apparently has no cure.
