When I first read the title of this posting on the feed, I thought you might be alluding to Louis XIV's famous assertion, “L'État, ç'est moi.”
But you look way better than some poxy old king any day. :-) Mind you, I doubt he ever wore a bee suit, but I'm going to go out on a limb and assert it wouldn't help his case any.
If I were a preschooler and you showed up as a guest speaker to give this "fauna" lesson, for some reason it would have made me cry. Being several generations distant from preschool I'm not sure how I know this, but trust me, I do. Perhaps it was because of the sans-a-wing thing. And I didn't buy your pseudo-Darwinian, J.G. Ballardian psycho-sexual explanation for the wings' lack. Perhaps I would have laughed if you hadn't already plunged me into a state of existential angst from the start.
But don't worry, it's not you -- it's me. Perhaps if I imagine Uma Thurman's head on a giant spider...
Yes...oh yes. That's much better, yes. Ahh, okay.
