The first one is depressing, frightening, terrible, etc. There are no proper words for that.
However, of the second one, I’m 98% certain it’s a Photoshop job. The letters of “Beliefs” are slightly blurry compared to the surrounding sign, as if someone put in the new type, and then blurred it back to try to make it match. At the end of the “S”, the jpeg artifacting is too strong, as if someone cloned out the word “CHANGE” (most likely) on the original web-res jpeg, then did the edit, then re-jpeged it, creating even more artifacting.
Yeah — I also tell kids there is no Santa.
