The Dark Knight is rising 40 meters from my front door
November 6, 2011
When I first moved into my Wall Street apartment, I often commented that the view from my balcony was “very Gotham City.”
The other day, I came home from work to find this:

At first, I thought, “Oh, those poor protestors!” Until I saw that the truck said, “Gotham Police Department.”
This was filmed within two blocks of my front door:

More on-set pics here.
I mean, I walk here every day. That green sign is part of the Museum of Finance, which is next to my subway stop. The day that this was filmed, police barricades (the NYPD cars just mingle with the Gotham cars around here right now) kept me away from Christian Bale and also away from any normal way to get to work on time.
