Jennifer is an experienced educational, business, and humor writer. She specializes in making educational topics humorous and engaging. Just as her comedy is chock full of philosophy and punctuation, so too is her professional work chock full of jocosity!

Jennifer has written a 22-page booklet on “How to Debate” to promote Dewar’s Scotch, she has written a four-page exercise for a logic textbook from the perspective of Mexican wrestlers (luchadores), and she has consulted for educational television on how to make algebra interesting to middle schoolers (just so you know, her go-to suggestion is usually ninjas). She writes a career column for women’s blog TheGloss, and has been known to give inspirational speeches and teach financial literacy to troops of Girl Scouts.

In addition to blogging at JenniferDziura.com since 2004 and maintaining the blogs for the Williamsburg Spelling Bee and Ladybits Comedy, Jen was one of 16 bloggers in the US and Canada chosen for the Ford Motor Company’s blogger summit and has blogged professionally for Jewcy.com and for TruTV’s Dumb as a Blog. She now writes for TheGloss regularly, maintains a GRE-focused Vocabulary Blog, and blogs for other publications when the opportunity arises.

Jennifer has published over 150 newspaper articles in publications including The Virginian Pilot (as the “teen columnist” in the mid-nineties), Virginia Beach’s This Week at the Beach, and the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine. Jennifer has contributed to SAT, ACT, GMAT, and GRE preparation manuals appearing at Barnes & Noble, and regularly reviews manuscripts for Barron’s Educational Series. She is currently working on a remedial grammar, logic, and reading textbook related to the GMAT.

Jen has worked as a consultant for PBS affiliate WNET/Thirteen on a television special making algebra fun for middle school students.

Current Projects

Jen premiered her new one-woman show about punctuation at the Empire State Book Festival in Albany in April, 2010. The show is now available for bookings at colleges, libraries, library conventions, and other places where people who know their semicolon from their colon are to be found.
Jen is working on humorous philosophical sidebars for a logic textbook.
Jen has contributed several chapters to a series of textbooks for the GRE.
Jen has been filmed a couple of television projects, but is keeping quiet until there’s an air date.
